Archify Skill for Coding Agents · tt-a1i

Archify from tt-a1i (tt-a1i/archify, Apache-2.0) is an agent skill that turns an idea, a plan or a codebase into a standalone interactive HTML architecture diagram, made for people to explore, switch themes, export and share. Anyone can open the HTML in a browser; viewing it needs no Archify install.

It is not a queryable knowledge graph for your agent (that is Graphify), not a Mermaid theme, and not a hosted diagram service. This page is a source-linked directory entry, not Archify’s official site; AgentSkillsDir does not draw diagrams for you.

Install with one message to your agent

Upstream’s recommended install: paste this into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or OpenCode. The agent reads llms.txt, confirms global or project scope with you, then installs.

Install Archify for me by reading https://raw.githubusercontent.com/tt-a1i/archify/main/llms.txt

Then describe a system, for example “Browser → API → Redis cache → PostgreSQL fallback”, and open the .html it returns. Upstream steps, not yet run by AgentSkillsDir.

What it is, and what it is not

You describe a system in plain words, or point your agent at a repository, and Archify has the agent write a typed source, validate it, and deliver one HTML file. Upstream lists ten diagram types (architecture, workflow, sequence, data flow, lifecycle, ERD, class, tree, timeline, waterfall) plus a one-page explainer. The output is a communication artifact for people. Upstream says it is not a general-purpose drawing editor or a Mermaid theme, and hosted sharing is outside its scope.

What you get: one HTML file

BrowserAPIRedisPostgreSQLcache miss
Our own sketch of the upstream README’s first example prompt; not actual Archify output.
One .html file
Self-contained: open it in a browser, send it to someone, and the interactions go with it. No Archify install needed to view.
Explore
Focus a node, trace upstream or downstream, probe a route between two parts, present full-screen.
Dark / light
Switch theme and visual style from the viewer (T and S keys).
Export
The Export menu copies or downloads PNG, WebP or JPG images and share cards; print to PDF from the browser.

Install from the terminal

Commands follow the upstream README and llms.txt at commit a4065941f12b (fetched 31 Oct 2026). AgentSkillsDir has not run them in any assistant yet.

llms.txt first lists the package, which installs nothing. Continue only if it shows exactly one skill named archify:

npx -y skills@latest add https://archify.si --list --full-depth

Then install for your assistant. The command is the same for each; only the --agent id changes:

  • Claude Code

    --agent claude-code
npx -y skills@latest add https://archify.si --skill archify --agent claude-code --global --copy --yes

Lands in ~/.claude/skills/ (global) or .claude/skills/ (project).

  • Codex CLI

    --agent codex
npx -y skills@latest add https://archify.si --skill archify --agent codex --global --copy --yes

Lands in ~/.agents/skills/ (global) or .agents/skills/ (project).

  • Cursor

    --agent cursor
npx -y skills@latest add https://archify.si --skill archify --agent cursor --global --copy --yes

The README gives this exact command for Cursor; the installer reports the folder it wrote.

  • OpenCode

    --agent opencode
npx -y skills@latest add https://archify.si --skill archify --agent opencode --global --copy --yes

    Lands in ~/.config/opencode/skills/, .opencode/skills/ or .agents/skills/.

  • GitHub Copilot

    --agent github-copilot
npx -y skills@latest add https://archify.si --skill archify --agent github-copilot --global --copy --yes

Listed as a switcher id in llms.txt; not in the README install table.

  • Project only: drop --global. Several assistants at once: repeat --agent. --copy writes files instead of symlinks.
  • If the installer reports a conflict with existing files in an archify folder, upstream says to stop and keep those files rather than delete them.

Try it without installing

npx skills use tt-a1i/archify@archify --agent codex

The short form you may have seen

Some write-ups quote the shorter skills CLI form below. It is not in the upstream README, which installs from archify.si as shown above. Prefer the README command; AgentSkillsDir has not run either yet.

npx skills add tt-a1i/archify -g

Check the install

Upstream’s check runs from the folder the installer reported (a global copy often sits in a skills/archify folder your agent already scans; a project copy often in .agents/skills/archify):

node <installed-path>/bin/archify.mjs doctor

Minimal flow

From the upstream README; AgentSkillsDir has not generated a diagram with it yet.

  1. Install the skill for your assistant (agent prompt or the command above), then run doctor.
  2. Describe a system in plain words, or open a repository and ask for a high-level runtime architecture diagram.
  3. Open the standalone .html it delivers in any browser; refine in chat (“add Redis”, “highlight the rollback path”).

The README’s first example prompt:

Use Archify to diagram a web request: Browser calls the API,
the API checks Redis, and a cache miss queries PostgreSQL and fills the cache.

No repository is required. For a source-backed map, open a repository and ask the agent to analyze it and draw a high-level runtime architecture with 8–12 core components.

Staying up to date

Archify never installs updates by itself. When a newer stable release is out, recent installs add a short notice after a diagram is delivered, with the release notes link, and the agent asks whether you want help updating; you decide when. Upstream also suggests GitHub Watch → Custom → Releases for notifications. ARCHIFY_UPDATE_CHECK_DISABLED=1 turns the reminder check off.

Archify or Graphify?

They do different jobs. Archify gives people an interactive architecture HTML to read and share. Graphify turns a project folder into a knowledge graph your agent queries with /graphify. Pick Archify to show a system to a teammate; pick Graphify when your agent needs to understand a whole codebase.

Before you install

  • This is third-party code that adds instructions and a Node CLI to your assistant. Read SKILL.md and the source before you install it.
  • Listing is not a security review. AgentSkillsDir has not reviewed this code.
  • Upstream notes that third-party online services and paid plans under similar names are run by their own providers and do not represent Archify.

FAQ

What is the Archify skill?

An open-source agent skill (tt-a1i/archify, Apache-2.0) that turns an idea, plan or codebase into a standalone interactive HTML architecture diagram for people to explore and share.

Is Archify a knowledge graph tool?

No. Archify builds interactive diagrams and one-page explainers for people. For a queryable code and docs knowledge graph for your agent, see Graphify.

How do I install Archify for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or OpenCode?

Per upstream llms.txt: npx -y skills@latest add https://archify.si --skill archify --agent <claude-code|codex|cursor|opencode> --global --copy --yes. Fetched 31 Oct 2026; not yet run by AgentSkillsDir.

What is the HTML artifact?

One self-contained HTML file with focus, routes, themes and an Export menu. Open it offline or send it on; nobody needs Archify installed just to view it.

Do I need a repository?

No. Start from a plain-language description, or ask your agent to read a repository for a source-backed map.

How do I check the install?

Upstream says to run node <installed-path>/bin/archify.mjs doctor, using the folder the installer reported. Not yet run by AgentSkillsDir.

Archify or Graphify?

Different jobs. Archify makes a human-facing interactive architecture HTML to share; Graphify builds a project knowledge graph your agent queries with /graphify.

Does AgentSkillsDir host diagrams or sell an online Archify?

No. This is a source-linked directory entry. Upstream notes that third-party online services and paid plans are run by their own providers and do not represent Archify.

Has AgentSkillsDir reviewed the code?

No. Listing is not a security review. Read the source and SKILL.md before you install.

Are the star and version numbers current?

They are a dated snapshot from the GitHub API; see the last-checked time on the source card.
